myoriah
I did search but could not come up with anything for crayons or chalk. Although in another program I can convert an image to conte crayon and chalk it does both of them. In other words I have no control over where the chalk is placed and can not just make an image with the look of being drawn with conte crayon. In addition it would be nice to sometimes draw with chalk. We have pencil and paintbrush but no chalk as far as I can tell. I would like to try to duplicate the effect Edgar Degas did in his "Ballet Dancer Standing". Quote When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, sure 'tis like a morn in spring. pyrochild
For drawing with chalk or crayon, look into Simon Brown's Custom Brushed Mini plugin. For making an existing image into chalk, BoltBait has a plugin in his plugin pack called Pastel: Pastel - This effect was completely rewritten from scratch and the rendering has been much improved. I think you're going to like this one. It makes your picture look like it was drawn with pastel chalk or water color paint. BoltBait
After running Pastel, try the frosted glass effect. Something like this: viewtopic.php?p=11746#p11746 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
myoriah
Thanks I already have played around with the pastel but had not thought of trying the frosted glass after using the pastel. I decided in my old age to experiment and try new things. In addition I decided to learn more about art and different techniques that artist have used. Sarkut
myoriah, Here's another possibility. This was done Clone Stamping from black-and-alpha and white-and-alpha texture layers onto clear layers above a background. Reducing the Transparency - Alpha setting in the Colors window gives a soft-edged look to the brush stroke, as well as reducing the opacity of what is applied. http://www.LupiUpload.de/images/2010/02 ... b6419b.png
Ego Eram Reputo
Have a look at this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=33723 I suspect you would have a nice chalk effect if you recolored it white.
