Sarkut
rustman52, For problems with plugin installation it is best to post in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023 The following may be relevant to the difficulties you are experiencing. Please say what version of Paint.NET you are using. The latest version is v3.5.3. Also, what OS version are you using? (XP, Vista, etc.) What OS Service Pack level do you have installed? Are you fully current on Windows Updates? Look in Utilities in the top menu of Paint.NET. See if there are any plugin error reports. It would be helpful if you can post some screenshots. One showing the contents of your Paint.NET/Effects folder, with the full path showing in the Windows Explorer window. Another showing the Paint.NET Effects menu expanded. Another showing any plugin loading error reports. ================ How to post images: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26979 http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

Sarkut
rusty52, Download Ed Harvey Effects by left-clicking this link: http://www.komplex.com.au/edfects/downl ... 080826.zip Download to your Desktop, then left-click the zip (no PeaZip) to open it. If both files are there, copy/paste them into the Effects folder. ======================================== I feel quite sure that the tutorial mistakenly directed you to a plugin that would show up in a Tools sub-category. The plugin you need has a similar name and is in its own sub-menu (Not in Tools). This is the one that you need: Alpha Mask Import viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2178 The lowest red outline shows where Alpha Mask will appear when installed. http://www.LupiUpload.de/images/2010/02 ... 0bb722.png
pyrochild
rusty52/rustman52: 1) Why did you create another account? If it's a forgotten password, use the I Forgot My Password link on the login page. 2) Your post is completely unreadable. There's no way to tell what's quoted and what you added. You can close and and reopen quote tags with [/qu ote] and [qu ote], respectively (without the space in the middle). Sarkut
rustman52, Try downloading again using a different browser. The Ed Harvey zipped file isn't inherently damaged, as I have just downloaded it and installed it. It works fine on my PC. It opened easily by left-clicking. Sarkut
Those four error messages can be ignored. The Ed Harvey download zip should contain two files: EdHarvey.Edfects.Common.dll EdHarvey.Effects.dll

Sarkut
Download Simon Brown's plugin pack. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=30524 Left-click the zip, then open the folder inside named Effects. Copy/paste all files to the Paint.NET/Effects folder with Paint.NET closed. Open Paint.NET - There should now be a Tools sub-menu in the Effects drop-down.
