Ego Eram Reputo
I believe that martinlo64 is looking for a method of blurring a small area in their image? If so, try selecting the area with the selection tools or and then apply one of the blurs you will find in the Effects > Blur menu. This link will show you where to find these tools: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/E ... sMenu.html Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker

Sarkut
martinlo64, To avoid the distinct border between the blurred area and the background: Make a selection of the area to be blurred. Then copy/paste into a new (transparent) layer. Deselect. Ctrl + C Ctrl + Shift + V Ctrl + D Blur. The edges of the pasted piece will blur into alpha. This will give a soft edge. After blurring, merge the blurred layer down into the background.
