BriDog
Hi all. Well as the title says, I really want DTX lithtech image support for paint.net. I can't imagine it would be too hard as Photoshop already has this. But I'm not about to install an 800mb program for one freaking format. One guy mentioned it in the plug-in section. But that was his only post. If anyone could help, this will help a bunch of us non photoshoppers. Thanks.

david.atwell
Every time someone says "It shouldn't be too hard," Rick dies a little inside. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

0(-.-)0
So theoretically, if enough people commented on a certain features simplicity, every programmer on earth would die? Quote - Any thoughts? -
david.atwell
In theory, I suppose. It'd take a lot, though. :-P Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... 0(-.-)0
Well I'm sure it'd be very easy to write a program to calculate how much. Simplicity I'm sure. Quote - Any thoughts? -
pyrochild
No, we'd approach a limit of deadness. Each time we "die a little inside," it's a percentage of our current aliveness. So the first time -- assuming an initial "health" of 100 and "dying a little" meaning 25% -- we'd then be at 75. The next time we die a little, it's 25% of that, so 56.25, then 42.1875. We'll never actually reach 0, so we'll never die completely. Quote http://i.imgur.com/xZYt6wl.png ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! 0(-.-)0
I'll give you that, but wouldn't you reach a point where you are so very nearly dead that by all standards and for all practical purposes you are dead? And, by natural effects such as decomposition and lack of breathing, you would die. Now, would that be considered because of the consistent attack on your life force or would people call that death by natural causes? pyrochild
People heal. Otherwise, just getting sick a few times would kill anyone. We are sooooo off-topic... 0(-.-)0
Ahh. They do heal but would they heal fast enough or would they even be able to heal if they had that little life left? Is life even a quantifiable measure? And before it gets asked: 42. Every time someone goes off topic, ever forum administrator dies a little inside. Neil Cassidy
BriDog, some page that I found (http://www.planetavp.com/modmaker/modmaker2.html) suggests that a tool called DEdit can import/export Lithtech textures or skins in TGA format, which Paint.NET is certainly capable of working with. I don't know what this tool is, seems to be a level editor. Perhaps you already have it. You might try starting there! Quote Segment Image : Average Color (HSL) : Eigen Blur : []Cool, new forum!
