br945
I want to place a text panel on an image but at an angle. You find such texts on magazine fronts. I am attaching just an example of the text panel rotated at an angle. Can anyone guide me on a step wise procedure to do this with paint.net? thanks very much. david.atwell
1. Add a new layer. 2. Type the text. 3. Use Layers > Rotate/Zoom to angle it. Or just select it and drag with the right mouse button. :-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

(visualize the black portion as part of the image) i am practically a newbie. thanks. ps. to give a better idea of what i am looking for, please see the attached magazine covers with tilted text panels at the top. i need something similar, which may be placed on the bottom right hand. thanks1101981102.40.jpg[/attachment]
stylish_chick
I think you have to move the layer until it is aligned to the position where you want it to be. That is after rotating it 90º. Sarkut
br945, Open your image in Paint.NET. In the top menu - Layers > Add New Layer... Make a Rectangular selection in the size and shape you want your text to go onto. Use the Paintbucket tool with a right-click to fill it with white. Add and position your text, using the Text tool. Use the Move Selected Pixels tool to position your text panel over the background. Using the right mouse button lets you rotate your selection.
