tropolite
Hi all and HNY... A new recruit from the ranks of Photoshop - I wish to make the change. Apologies if this has already been asked. I haven't found anything searching the forum or within P.N. Is there an option for alignment guides? i.e. Photoshop has guides that you can drag from the rulers across the graphics so that items can be kept at the same height or level etc. Or, if not available within P.N is there such a plugin? Appreciate this forum - it looks quite extensive and I'm looking forward to learning more about this very cool app! Cheers Tropolite
mcamp14
Happy New Year! Congrats on making the change, I did and I love PDN. I do not think that there are any alignment guides. However, you can always look at the bottom left to see the pixel location or you could even make a layer that you draw lines on in order to line things up. oma
never haved used photoshop so not sure. but would not a layer under your work using the graph plugin by Madjik not work. slip the layer of graph under work and then just uncheck or delete out before you flatten. ciao OMA Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery

Lance McKnight
Oma has given you a good tip. The Grid/Checkerboard plugin made by MadJik is one way to create an alignment guide. You could also fiddle with the Rotate/Zoom tool to create perspective on the layer that holds the alignment guide. Quote Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day. tropolite
All great alternatives - thanks for all your suggestions. I'll go check out MadJik's Grid plugin and will think outside the box in future Thanx all...
mcamp14
If you want to be really precise, you can zoom in a lot (a lot being defined as being able to see each individual pixel) and use the pixel grid option. Goonfella
If I need guides I just add a temporary layer and draw them in where they are needed , similar to Oma and the Grid/Checkerboard. Delete the layer when your done. Quote Please feel free to visit my Gallery on PDNFans And my Alternatives to PDN
