Zacariem
OK i've only been on PDN for about 5 mins but this is what I've found: 1) The MDI window was abit confusing. It would be better if there was 'New File' & 'New Window' buttons in the File menu. 2) Right above the tools window there is a list of tools. I don't see how that is nececery. 3) I realy don't like the new zoom tool because you can't select where you want to zoom. You have to zoom in, then move to where you want to go. 4) I had a crash . Here's a screenshot of what came up: I had just done a Rectangular to Polar Inversion, then I hit Ctrl + Z and that came up. That's all for now I'll be updating soon but I have to spleep Lol EDIT: More further down page. EDIT 2: Sorry if I seem negative! Quote They said we couldn't fly. We did. Anythings possible! Rick Brewster
(1) I don't understand what you mean here. In the File menu there is New and Open ... (2) The contents of that Tools drop down menu is currently a placeholder. I am planning on using this to provide some different functionality. (3) So you actually use the Zoom tool? Good to know. I was considering deleting it. The 'hand' tool is actually the Pan tool. I think I removed it in v2.5 or something, because its functionality is redundant (just hold down spacebar and drag the mouse to pan with *any* tool). (4) For the crash: You gotta make sure you paste the contents of the pdncrash.log file from your desktop. Otherwise it's really hard to know what went wrong. Thanks! Illnab1024
It looks like the same effects bug described earlier; he just pressed Ctrl + Z before PdN decided to crash/wrote to pdncrash.log... Quote ~~
trickman
Well I prefer the pan tool rather than the zoom tool.

There's a 'New Window' and 'New Tab' option in the file menu. I find this usefull because I can have all my pdn stuff in tabs in one window, and other stuff in another window. Here's some more stuff I found and by the way I didn't mean to be negative in the first post I think there are some great things in the first 3.0 reliese, but I'm only posting what are in my opinian negative. Anyway: 1) In the old pdn there was a slider in the Colours window that made the selected colour darker. I found it in the More>> section, but I think it's much more accesable where it was. (Btw I LOVE the palet!) 2) Could there not be a zoom tool and pan tool? E.g when the pan tool is selected it pans, but when you hold, maby, Shift + Click it zooms. 3) In the Windows menu at the top of pdn, the 'Reset Windows Locations' button dosn't seem to work. 4) When I try to scan an image, I get 'There is no acquirable image in the clipboard' poping up. 5) The effects CMD said didn't work arn't working on my PC either. 6) When I rotate an image, when the rotation is rendering, the loading window that pops up says 'PdnBaseForm'. Unless I'm mistaken, that hasn't got anything to do with rotation. 7) When zoomed in completly with the grid on, the paint tool takes a long time to catch up with the mouse. 8) If you have lots of tabs open in pdn, when you close it down, it asks if you want to save every tab indivitual. Couldn't there be a close tab button and a close pdn button, with maby a warning that any unsaved tabs will be lost? 9) When I try to shange the font of text, the whole thing goes white and crashes. That's about all for now. Just want to say great work Rick keep it up! Zacariem 8) Quote They said we couldn't fly. We did. Anythings possible!
