ALKirru
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I've a complaint about the new update. v3.5.1 is absolutely sexy. However, rather than getting the usual marching ants, it appears v3.5.1 has an embossed edge on selections. I gotta say, it's kind of annoying, especially for pixel art. The embossed edge throws a distracting white lining to the selection. Personally, I'd like it a lot better if the system went back to marching ants. The little dotted fellows never did anyone any harm, and they don't throw off my sense of color perception quite as much. It's very frustrating to be looking for stray white pixels and end up freaking out just over some silly embossing.
Simon Brown
The little dotted fellows never did anyone any harm ...but they do do your laptop's battery (if you use it) harm, so to speak.
Lance McKnight
The "marching ants" has been phased out since the first alpha release of v3.5. It uses Xor blending to reduce the burden on the CPU. If you are seeing white lines, I'm assuming it's the result after you deselect a selection, I suggest you use feather which will "expand" your object to fill in the gap after the selection process is complete.
