Simon Brown
What do you mean by that? Are they not listed or do they crash?
Datruel3gend
They're simply not listed. Here's my effects window. The only things added are Mirror, Reflection, and 3D Shaped (in the render section) Feather used to work in Objects until I updated.
Sarkut
Ouch. Well, the next thing I'd want to see is the same screenshot, but this time showing the Windows Explorer full window so that the full path to the Effects folder is shown. Simon Brown
Click Utilities -> View Plugin Load Errors and post the contents. Also, try removing WaterReflection as it's not part of Pyrochild's latest pack (if it's even his).

Simon Brown
They should be in the Paint.NET\Effects folder in Program Files.
Datruel3gend
That's where they are, I don't know why it's not showing program files in the location. @ your previous post:
Simon Brown
When you open your main drive (probably called C:\), there's a folder called Program Files inside it. Open Paint.NET\Effects and copy the plugins there.

goddlediddles
If have downloaded and installed Radius Fill Corners as per the instructions. It will not show up in my Tools. I have the latest .Net Framework (SP1) installed, including a Windows update for it for X64 systems. I am running Vista X64 and have the latest version of Paint.net. The dll file is inserted into the Effects sub folder as instructed. I would appreciate help in this matter, as I would like to add rounded borders to my rounded images. Many thanks. Simon Brown
Have you looked in the Effects menu? If it isn't there, it might be listed under Utilities -> View Plugin Load Errors (in which case it's probably incompatible).

honeybee123
hey, just wondering, please can you help me? umm.. this is my first day, i finally figured out how to download paint.NET (im a bit on the dumb side ), but now i cant figure out for the life of me how to download plugin's i followed the tutorial, step by step instructions, but they dont seem to work. the files are on my comp, but not showing up in pdn? in my pdn file, i have no effects folder, and i read that instead i should post it into file types instead? i tried that, and it showed the zipped folder, which i have to extract the files from because i havent got winzip installed? then, after extracting them, they show up again, and ive been told i have to unlock them, by going to properties. after click unlock, okay, should i be able to open up pdn and they should be under effects? hope you can help me, thanks (: honey x

Sarkut
markt: The pyrochild plugin pack was updated two or three days ago. Your plugin files are out of date. ============================================= So far as I know, pyrochild.effects.common.dll is no longer used, it's been replaced by pyrochild.effects.REQUIRED.dll. Leaving pyrochild.effects.common.dll in your Effects folder may cause problems.
Sarkut
honeybee123: Most likely the plugins you want to install are effects and should be copied into the Paint.NET\Effects folder. If you still need some help, please post again and say what OS version you are using (XP,Vista...) and name specifically which plugins and/or plugin packs you are trying to install. If you have no Effects folder, well, that's not usual and will need to be dealt with.

Simon Brown
reinstalled the Paint.Net Magalo Effects Plug In pack from Uninstall that (it's not supported by most plugin authors and it probably has some out-of-date plugins) and download them from this forum. Sarkut
markt: Yes. At the bottom of this page, just below where the postreply button is, click on the link that says - Plugins - Publishing Only. On the new page are links to the various plugin main pages. The pyrochild entry is stickyed and near the top. ========================================= Also, please use the edit button at the bottom of your post to remove the live link to that other website. That way others won't mistakenly use it to get plugins and end up having problems with out of date files.

Sarkut
First thing to try is make a new folder inside the Paint.net program folder. Name it Effects. Download the Boltbait zipped pack to your Desktop, double-click it, then copy and paste the .dll files into your newly created Effects folder. Best to do this with the Paint.NET program closed. Let me know whether this works for you.
