whisprer
I'd like to make the edges of a photo fade. There used to be a tutorial on here for this a couple versions back that involved layers and gradients, but I can't find the tut or the plug-in (it showed up under effects and allowed you to change the alpha from 100 to 0). Any help on how to do this or where to find plug-ins/ tutorials would be helpful. This is what I was able to do with gradient blur.... LJXD
A quick method is making your primary colour transarent and your secondary colour black (or white). Then go to Gradient and choose radial (the circular one). Click the centre of your photo and drag to the edge. Hope this answers your question Quote |My Sig Tut| Deviant Art |Advanced Grunge Texture|My Gallery The Birthplace of Life
Sozo
Or use the vingette plugin.
Ego Eram Reputo
The vignette effect is part of Ed Harvey's plugin pack, which you can find here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26244&start=0 Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
whisprer
I have the vingette plug-in, however, I don't like the black... and I'd like to do a more even job around rectangular photos. Does anyone remember the old duplicate layer way... I can no long find the tut, but I really liked the results from that method. BTW, thanks for all the responses!
