hainus
im sure there are many of these on the board and maybe you should pin an unlocked topic which is just for requests. anyway, my requests are.... mosaic - i have found no plugin capable of doing this and i believe a feature like this will break more casual users to PDN as its something they are likely to do with their photos panorama / stitching - again, ive found no plugin and again, i think its a feature that will bring along basic users and professional photographers to PDN plugin manager - ive found that a lot of plugins cause PDN to crash so an effective plugin manager that would allow disabling of plugins one by one would work wonders for tracking down the culprit. also, it would be great to organise plugins into proper catergories as having numerous plugins scattered through all menus makes PDN untidy and put users off should anyone know of any plugins that do what i asked for above, please leave a link so i can check it out apart from those few issues, PDN is an extrordinarily brilliant program. simply but brilliant. i regulary promote it over any other program. thanks for your time
david.atwell
Mosaic = Pixelate. Plugin manager = Planned. Panorama = It can do that. Unless you mean automatically, which I wouldn't trust anyway. :-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
barkbark00
mosaic - i have found no plugin capable of doing this and i believe a feature like this will break more casual users to PDN as its something they are likely to do with their photos A good friend once told me, "Being too vague is like...".Anyway, I'm fairly certain that your request was misunderstood by d.a. Maybe you could post some examples of the type of mosaic effect you are interested in. Below are some "mosaic" plugins I found by using the search capability of this forum: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=29438 viewtopic.php?f=16&t=30254 The varied application of the term, "mosaic", in each case makes obvious the need for you to further clarify your request. hainus
thanks for the replys guys. barkbark00, you are indeed right. the effect david.atwell suggested is not the effect i wanted at all. the second plugin you suggested however is exactly what ive been looking for so thanks for that! going back to the panorama effect, i can do it in PDN fine david.atwell. but this is very time consuming with 12 panorama's to complete. an automatic feature would be a brilliant addition but as you mention, not entirely trustworthy. however, since these will only be draft copies, automatic would save me a lot of work in the time being. thanks for the replies though. much appreciated. if i spot anything worthwhile i'll post back to let you know. cheers. Simon Brown
If you need a free panorama stitcher there's Hugin, although it isn't specifically for Paint.NET.
