cazaron
Why can I not install without an Internet connection?I'm busting to try it out. well how else are you going to download it... You should get the Win7 theme for XP. Then get the rest of Win7. Then uninstall XP. Then it'll really look nice. ~ David Atwell
Rick Brewster
Thanks Rick. Are you going to put all of the PdN icons in the 'Resources\en-US' folder? No. Only the icons that I used which were covered by the LGPL license are in there. You should be able to extract the icons from Pdn.Resources.dll using Reflector (I assume). pyrochild
Things I do Not like about 3.5After getting used to the button arangement, the new style (Mainly of buttons) Can get rather confusing. You can disable that by going to Window -> Glass Dialog Buttons ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! LJXD
well how else are you going to download it... Downloading from the main computer, putting it onto a usb/portable hard drive and transferring it onto a computer without an internet connection. Pretty common process. I fixed it however by hooking the laptop up to an internet connection. |My Sig Tut| Deviant Art |Advanced Grunge Texture|My Gallery The Birthplace of Life
Rick Brewster
That should all work just fine. However, you'll need to make sure .NET 3.5 SP1 is already installed, which you can find an offline installer for on the Microsoft download site. It's pretty big though. LJXD
That would explain it, thanks Rick . It took so long to install the new .NET version. Sharp
The equations effect isn't working. The effect itself shows up, but it has a little error thing, and doesn't render anything. Lance McKnight
Yes I`ve just tried mine and get the same problem. Needs updating I think. The equations effect isn't working. The effect itself shows up, but it has a little error thing, and doesn't render anything. I recall seeing Curtis Black's common .dll being blocked by v3.5 in the Plugin Load Error under the Utilities menu. That is probably what is causing the equations to not to work since it's a part of Curtis Black's effects. Edit: A quick look at Plugin Load Error list showed that. The Octagonal reshape plugin is blocked due to known stability issue according to the Plugin Load Error. Now I need to remove pyrochild's old common .dll file since he has updated it. Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day.
Cor'e =)
Many, Many Thanks! =) I was at the layer limits of v3.36, Paint.net kept crashing due to so many layers, now i'll see if i can complete my projects in one file instead of the headache of splitting up my projects into several pdn files in an effort to circumvent the layer crashes. =) Thanks again! rtargo20
I got the message to update last night and updated with no problem. I was reading the Color Mapping topic and saw a reference to view tutorial at viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20736 and click on it and there i logged in, tried again and got message that I was not authorized to view. What's my problem? Is it me --or do buffalo wings taste like chicken?

JkB
Great job, thanks for all the hard work. One issue I have though, the paintbrush tool responds really slowly - it's really jerky to draw with it. Whereas the pencil tool is not jerky at all. I tested the paintbrush tool on the 3.36 version and it's fast, 3.5, it's slow... why? I'm running Windows 7 RC1 32bit, Core2Duo T5600, 3GB RAM. Thanks, JB Update: I was doing a little more testing. I have a Tablet PC. I found that the paintbrush tool is not jerky when I use the touchpad, but it is jerky if I use my wireless mouse or my stylus. However, with version 3.36 I could use my wireless mouse and my stylus and it was not jerky at all.

silverhammer
I really dig a lot of the new features and the new design. My one caveat (though maybe this is just me): the new version seems to be slower than the previous version when working with very large images (in particular, 5100x3300). In the older version there was always a long delay between performing an action and actually seeing the results when dealing with really huge images, but this delay seems to have extended significantly with the new version.
