david.atwell
First topic: Stargate Universe's fourth and fifth episodes, "Darkness" and "Light." Do you think Dr. Rush knew the ship would survive? Do you think he has an ulterior motive? Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... theonlychad
I actually think that he didn't know, because one point is why would you send all your resources on a shuttle with 15 people if you knew the ship was going to recharge itself. Although he could of known all along and knowing that the ship would take them to places where they needed stuff, he thought he would get rid of a few people to lighten the load on resources. I am really intrigued on how this might turn out. Some of the drama in the series is a bit over the top, but i do like the cg shaky cam thats new and fresh for a stargate series. david.atwell
Huh. Good point, I had forgotten he sent a ton of resources with them. My main thought was: If he loves this ship so much, why intentionally get rid of the only working shuttle left on Destiny? Doesn't make much sense to me. Besides, he looks genuinely surprised that they're not dead yet. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... theonlychad
yeah i honestly don't think he knew. I think the military guy is too untrusting. I think that dr.rush was being humble saying that he had nothing to do with it and didn't need extra rations, he was probably thinking of everyone as a whole. On a side note i like how they recruited eli that was awesome. Brilliant idea putting the ancient language and a secret equation in the game to find someone that was brilliant with math. You could call it The Last Starfighter. david.atwell
I rewatched "Light," and noticed that Rush actually apologized to Eli as the group on the observation lounge broke apart. I don't think he would have had any emotional openness of that sort if he'd known they would survive. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior...
