Layers not doing what I "think" is supposed to happen

Recommended Posts

Hi, been using Paint for a year plus, and diligently look at [Help] and search the board for answers before I ask. I have four layers, one is selected (meaning it is in the blue row) and checked with the check mark. When I crop the selected and single checked layer, all four layers are cropped. I know I must be missing something, but can't figure it out.

TIA,

Ron

Thanks much!

then unfortunately Paint.NET doesn't support layers of different sizes
, won't do what I thought it would do. I will revert to resizing the image in PowerPoint (familiarity plus can save the image in multiple formats including png) and then opening it or pasting it into a layer.

Appreciate the help and kindness to a beginner,

Ron

To find out about layers: http://www.getpaint.net/search.html + layers

Removing ballpoint pen - try this: How to "Erase" Pencil Marks!

Or you could try asking this in the General Discussion & Questions section.
