add screenshots,

ok, i will add them when i get home...

a "no" poll option (why do you do polls?),

I was just wondering if anyone would use this method, and this is my first topic i made with a poll

and why did you say "a must read"?

because, it is, its something very odd, something i would have not have thought about...

there is NO point to this, unless I did it totally wrong, the dot disappears after you gauss blur, and a darkish dot comes in after a bunch of sharpens.....

@RaveN: You're being a little harsh there. While it may not have a huge ammount of value for doing a proffesional image, it might be a starting point for a lot of cool effects. The concept is kindof interesting even if it doesn't do much.

I was a little harsh, I apologize, I was in that mood, some people were really flaming one of my best friends on another forum...I shouldn't have brought it in here...

Well with the effect, why not just make the dot yourself and adjust its opacity and saturation?

If you follow his directions properly, you will see a somewhat intricate pattern emerge--kind of a square within a square, etc. Zoom in to about 800%.
