kungfugi
I have a small art project I'm doing right now, not for school, just because I'm bored. But i have a picture and i want to change it to black/white/gray. But i also need the picture to break up into those colors with as big of sections as possible but still make it look like the original picture. I'm not sure if that makes much sense, but if anyone could help it would be much appreciated
APShredder
So you just want to make the picture grayscale? Just hit Ctrl + Shift + G, or go to Adjustments --> Black and White. Quote BlendModes Plus | Dissolve | Extract Color
Curmudgeon
what I'd suggest doing: run the "grayscale on colored paper" plugin with the color set to white (255,255,255)then use posterize and reduce the colors to the number you want total this usually gives you a better grayscale than a simple black & white would produce and posterize is the way to reduce the number of shades of gray you want
kungfugi
thanks Curmudgeon that works almost exactly what i wanted. I'm going to try a few other effects with it. But if i can't get any better then this will work just fine
