Shape3D plugin question - how to make it "transparancy"?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to Paint.NET and new to graphic, just want to create something simple for myself.

I want to create an image with a word (like “Welcome”) on a moon disk, the letters stand around the circle (like a wheel), and face outward.

I figured I probably need the Shape3D plugin, downloaded/installed, I use the "Full Cylinder Map", but how can I make it transparancy so that letters from the other side of "cylinder" can be visible too? I tried the "transparancy" option, didn't make any difference.

i hope this is what you are looking to do....

welcome.jpg

Here are the steps to do what you are looking for...

1.Type your text on to a layer

2. use the magic wand tool select the white parts of the layer press delete

3. run the shape 3d plugin and use the settings at your discretion, and there you go :D

edit to clarify a step gah i need to learn how to sleep more lol...

You have to make your background transparent!

The easiest way to do this would be using the magic wand to get rid of the white background in the first place, then type the text...

You should see the checkerboard pattern from theonlychad's pic.
