fenyullow
I'm new to Paint.NET and new to graphic, just want to create something simple for myself. I want to create an image with a word (like “Welcome”) on a moon disk, the letters stand around the circle (like a wheel), and face outward. I figured I probably need the Shape3D plugin, downloaded/installed, I use the "Full Cylinder Map", but how can I make it transparancy so that letters from the other side of "cylinder" can be visible too? I tried the "transparancy" option, didn't make any difference.
theonlychad
i hope this is what you are looking to do.... Here are the steps to do what you are looking for... 1.Type your text on to a layer 2. use the magic wand tool select the white parts of the layer press delete 3. run the shape 3d plugin and use the settings at your discretion, and there you go edit to clarify a step gah i need to learn how to sleep more lol... fenyullow
Great, I think I'm getting there, but not completely yet, I think it's still the setting of the Shape3D. Could you please share your plugin's settings? A screenshot would be greatest. Thanks
Frontcannon
You have to make your background transparent! The easiest way to do this would be using the magic wand to get rid of the white background in the first place, then type the text... You should see the checkerboard pattern from theonlychad's pic. theonlychad
also front's way is simpler lol i tend to over complicate things a lot lmao.. Quote "Clearly it's a very serious and literal meaning. Kemaru
You're both really overcomplicating it. Click :AddNewLayer: in your small layers window and type on the new layer, that'll get you smooth edges, and you don't have to use the magic wand.
