barbieq25
Daniels, Helen, Dark Shock, Welshy & Yellowman - thanks so much for positive feedback. Stone Paint was very different for me & the feedback has been great not only here but on dA. Brave - good way of putting it Yellowman. Mondrian & Paul Klee must have had some impact on me but I also had in mind some of Alexander Calder's mobiles when I did this. In any case, it was a pure pleasure to be creating again just for the fun of it. Curly lines plugin certainly has a lot to answer for - more to come on this I think. Tangleboxed & Garden Stone feature this fantastic plugin. http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/243/7/5/garden_stone_by_barbieq25-d6ki8mm.png">http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/243/7/5/garden_stone_by_barbieq25-d6ki8mm.png Garden Stone http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/243/c/1/catch_my_dream_by_barbieq25-d6khxzu.png">http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/243/c/1/catch_my_dream_by_barbieq25-d6khxzu.png Catch My Dream - a re-work in WP size of a sig entry. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/243/9/a/paper_cut_by_barbieq25-d6ki92j.png">http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/243/9/a/paper_cut_by_barbieq25-d6ki92j.png Paper Cut - inspired by http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/12832-detailed-aged-parchment/?&p=320589&hl=parchment&fromsearch=1entry320589'>this tute http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/243/6/3/tangleboxed_by_barbieq25-d6ki7xh.png">http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/243/6/3/tangleboxed_by_barbieq25-d6ki7xh.png Tangledbox Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. DrewDale
Really nice new additions here Barbieq - Paper cut is a great work, reminds me of something Welshblue might create. Tangled box is full of shine and details, I love the colours used on that one. Garden stone looks like part of a stained glass window. Catch my dream is top work the golden text and mesh really makes it pop. A pleasure to view
sashwilko
Very nice wallpapers barbieq, some really good depth and details in your new works. I love how you use light and shade just right.
HELEN
"Garden Stone" reminds me of the silhouette performances. It's very beautiful. The texture's amazing, barbie. The next three are just as great. Your color mixtures of light and dark is incredible. So lovely! doughty
Purple Aurora - diaphanous, love the softness. Catch My Dream - beautiful, other worldly. Paper is one of the best texture tuts. And concrete. I get so frustrated with the curly lines plugin - wish it were divided in two. I'm glad to see you tackle it, you've made a couple of really cool 'drawings'. You have such gorgeous work.

barbieq25
Firstly, many thanks for the Galleria nomination Welshy. Much appreciated. DrewDale, would you believe that I was thinking of him when I was creating this? I love the way he has used it just recently & it inspired me to try something similar since I really like the look. Sad pair we are that keep getting drawn into the darker art Welshy, I am so pleased that I could ditch PD with your help. Sasha, light & shade - glad you & Helen think I get it right. Such a struggle I find but worth it if others think I am hitting the mark. Helen, you are so right about those silhouette performances! I knew The textures in Garden Stone reminded me of something. Just couldn't put my finger on it. Doughty, I love the curly lines plugin...I see you really got the hang of the Furry one! I just get straight lines that are barely visible Thanks Daniels & Yellowman! Thank you all for your encouraging comments on the Galleria entry. New works - lots of them! Pixey
OMG - where do I begin? Your latest works have just bowled me over. The Wall Papers are so luscious and creamy and seamless. Amazing clarity. And the Tangled and Garden Stone - wonderful clarity and colour too. Papercut (think I said something about this on DA) has an amazing texture to it and the blood looks so real. Wonderful pieces each and all. Me thinks I hear a tute in the pipeline . And a hearty congratulations for your Galleria edition - so well deserved Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. HELEN
Barbie, such sweet works from you yet once again! I love the deep, rich red color in "Heartache." The image,"Stone" looks like an actual find from ancient times. You could've fooled me there. Great job on the other wallpapers, too. Daniels
Love the new works, Barbie The first four are all so light and airy, and stones is kinda dusty and very solid. Good work! Quote Logo/Banner Competition My Gallery
barbieq25
Thank you Pixey Could be describing a cocktail there (yummm). A tute? Maybe...part of it already has been done with the paper & the rest of the things I have no idea what I did. I zone out. I remember some of the curly lines stuff. Oh Welshy, you gave me a chuckle. No I was not thinking of it being your blood but the amazing work you have done with it. Not PI in the stone one but Inside out. Reminded me of pansies that Mum & I love so much. Thank you Helen. The images are bittersweet (Welshy really needs to get out of my head). Daniels, yes, dusty! I like that description a lot. I reminded me of the stones we used to pick up as kids that had impressions of seaweed on them. I find a few nowadays. Probably they're all getting dusty in someone's garage Now I have the hang of Fur Blur I think. Gosh it is so much fun! http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/248/f/c/hearts_by_barbieq25-d6l78a4.png">http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/248/f/c/hearts_by_barbieq25-d6l78a4.png Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. doughty
Your wallpapers, beautiful...You express feelings so wonderfully. Heartache, Stone - soft, hard, I have felt them both. Don't know that Stone is supposed to be a feeling, but I have felt this way. Didn't think of using Furblur for making a background shadow. Love what you did in Hearts. And congrats on your gallery entry.
barbieq25
Thank you Doughty. Yes, stone is a feeling because many people have felt that way but it is not described in any dictionary. There are not many of us who are immune to the heartbreaks that life throws at us. If our hearts didn't break then we would never have felt love. I'd rather have loved & lost then never have felt love at all. It was your wallpaper that inspired me to persist with the Fur Blur So, again, thank you 1 Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. dug
Congratulations on 'Marbles' addition to the Galleria.Well deserved. A real eclectic mix of emotions, colour, texture and styles you have created in your latest work. I particularly like Papercut the thumb looks "Like a bird on a wire" and when you open to full view it makes me think of the said song by Leonard Cohen. Hearts:Excellent use of Furblur, which I haven't had the chance to play with yet, very inspirational. Quote MY GALLERYD.A.TheRawAtom
