The boat image was manipulated slightly & cropped in PDN. All are 1920 x 1080 wallpapers.

The red is present strongly, that indicates lots of activity,

 

I like the wall papers all equally.

 

But the boats photo is so special, really beautiful. I can feel the Vignette and Soften effects? What else? Have you tried the Cross Processing? it works great with these kind of photos.

Thank you Seerose. Between the new computer & operating system, it was a struggle to even do simple things. I'm sure we all agree that it is worth persisting to create art

 

Red Ochre & Pixey thanks Good to be able to create again. Missed you guys too. Limited broadband is awful. I've been there too. Glad you have a faster connection now.

 

The boat is not mine. I took a photo at the harbour when we went fishing there again. The boat behind the sail boat is the one that took hubby's fancy & that is why I took the photo. Mind you, I like the look of the sailboat. Love the lines & colours in it but don't know how I'd feel on a sailboat. The harbour has a lot of memories for me. My father & I worked our trawler from the harbour. It has changed a lot but it is comforting to see that despite the new buildings & marina etc., the big rock mass is still there. I have not doubt that the thought of blasting it to create a wall was on the cards.

Daniels, all 3 wallpapers came from one flower photo. What I wanted to do didn't work out so I let the image evolve as it were. I found then that there were a few images worth saving out of my experimentation

 

Yellowman, the red came from the flower, as noted above but you are quite right in the process for the photo. I did try Cross Processing & I think I used it to get a bit more colour. Also used it to change the colours slightly in the other wallpapers. I do love the Vignette plugin. I miss the Lomography plugin. Laplacian was also used in all 4 images.

Great new wallpapers Barbie. I think my favourite is Ties That Bind as I like the smooth flowing nature of it. Well done with these.

Thanks Goonie. I like the way the it turned out so I stopped messing with it. That is the hardest part sometimes.

 

Here I have 6 new ones. A couple are from the same base image but I could not decide which one I like better, so I kept them all

One is a photo edit. All are 1920 x 1080 wallpaper size.

I've been looking at small RVs and motor homes lately. I've got such an urge to become a snowbird.

Great titles for the images and respective (not sure if that's the correct word, but I think you get my point) images! It's interesting how it's supposedly spring where I live, but it feels like Autumn because it's so cold and raining.

Gosh - amazing results on the wall papers.  After some brain pushing, and shoving, I have to say I really, really like Graffiti and Autumn .... also Heart of the Matter sets off a familiar ring .... I think it reminds me of an insect's eyes

Love the new images. I like how you're able to take from one image and make two different pieces (i.e. Wood witch and Sea's Rainy Days, Heart of matter and Graffiti).

I think Autumn Kiss is my favorite out of the new ones!Great work on all of them though.Problem is,I dont come to your page that much for the fact that for some reason only your page takes like 6 mins to  load for me.Not sure whats up with that.

Doughty, you made me smile with the comment on the Wood Witch. I am the opposite – we just bought a home here & I have no wish to move too far even for a holiday   That is a cracker of a sig too!

 

Thank you Helen for your lovely comment. The seasons are so silly now. We had a cold snap & now it is back to normal. The days are getting shorter which makes it harder to get out of bed

 

Pixey, yes, I see those big insect eyes too

 

Daniels sometimes I find that when I work with an image there are quite a few effects I like. That is the beauty of PDN. You can keep of what you create.

 

Johhnysdream, I wonder if it is slow to load because I have so many images there even if they are under the hide tag? Must investigate this. Thanks for persisting & your nice feedback.

I have noticed that everyone who uses your method of posting thumbs that link directly to the image load slower than the ones that bring up the whole page at the image hosting sites. You would think that they would load faster but they don't. It took several minutes for your page to load before I could see any thumbs. Some others who have more images take forever. I have a quad core with 8 gb of ram on DSL so I know the pc or internet is not the problem.

 

Oh and nice wallpapers once I got to view them.

I don't think the hide tag has any speed advantages. Your gallery seems to load faster without thumbnails to the older ones - but perhaps adding just the text url link for the old ones would mean we could still browse without slowing the first page down too much.

(Slightly difficult for me to judge, as I'm now on 50mb - I was on less than 2mb before!). P.B. still manages to be slow for me though - definitely an Imgur fan now.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I wondered if it was the way I was linking...PB is yucky for me dA means that even to edit my large gallery takes forever & don't dare make a mistake...

I will investigate imgur since that seems to load very quickly.

Not grass, a pandanus palm, screw pine or pandan, close up taken in windy conditions with max zoom.

 

I love manipulating macro shots. I hope to get a heap more done in the coming months

What a remarkable transformation of the Palm leaves .  From flat to 'POP' ...... I must use this plugin more often .
