yellowman
Great image, barbie, the gold is amazing. I really miss PP"s work, and I just checked his page on dA, he is acutally still active and post there. barbieq25
Doughty, it was Peter Pawn who gave me much help & encouragement in creating jewels. The background was called "heartache" but PP's addition is like a friend who gives you a shoulder to cry on, Skullbonz & DrewDale, PP also does a lot with fractals so the addition of the roto-tube just lifted the image. The fractal is like a soft embrace for me. Dug, dream team - I like that. PP saw the wallpaper & knew that it was just begging for a gem & the beginnings of an idea formed. Welshy & Yellowman, it has been a long time. He's ventured into new areas but I still see him on dA. Lovely description Pixey. DarkShock, I'd love to see a collab between you & Welshy. As for names we have not heard from in a while, here's a collab between Patty (aka. Sokagirl, Redeemer, Undead-Academy). Patty no longer post here but you can see her amazing fractals here: http://undead-academy.deviantart.com/ Her work with Mandlebulb is inspiring. http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/258/3/3/3hearts_by_barbieq25-d6mglte.png">http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/258/3/3/3hearts_by_barbieq25-d6mglte.png Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. barbieq25
4 new images: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/271/8/a/borage_by_barbieq25-d6odnib.png First macro! HELEN
Oh, barbie, these images are all so splendid! Incredible texture for the Victorian image. Cool shot of the borage flower. It's all furry and everything. "Let's Be Daring" has a lot of great colors running into each other. And "Sundown" looks so delicate and elegant. DrewDale
I really love your new creations Barbieq. Victoria and let's be daring are my two faves, the other two are awesome too. Pixey
Absolutely beautiful images! What an eclectic foursome . The edible flower is so soft and furry. Victorian is superb - the texture of the BG is wonderful. Let's be daring - so floaty and peaceful. And finally, Sundown - I just love it and it ticks all my boxes ... pink, glossy, soft with a gorgious gemstone. Lovely pieces to feast my tired eyes upon at the end of the day Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. dug
Cool quartet, Borage, excellent macro shot. It has so many healthy properties no garden should be without it. Victorian: Screams E.A.Poe. The texture brings out the crow just right. A bit darker it would be so creepy. Love it. Lets be Daring: I just love how you have managed to make pastel colours so bright and alive. Sundown: Have to agree with Welshy on Helen's description she summed it up in two words. "Delicate and Elegant" As I started cool quartet. barbieq25
Thank you all for your positive feedback. It seems that I have achieved what I set out to do with these images Dug & Welshy, thanks for the detailed feedback on Victorian. It was a new way of working for me. Not at all easy Here are some new images. They all started out as photos I took of plants in the garden. Some are heavily manipulated, others just a bit. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/321/3/a/night_before_christmas_by_barbieq25-d6ujz37.png Night Before Christmas - started out as a Clivia, a bulb. http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/321/9/7/midnight_oasis_by_barbieq25-d6ujz0x.png Midnight Oasis - a type of bulb/lilly, name unknown. http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/321/6/7/looking_glass_alice_by_barbieq25-d6ujyxi.png Looking Glass Alice - Baleria flower http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/321/c/5/lightness_of_being_by_barbieq25-d6ujyui.png Lightness of Being - a cactus flower http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/321/6/d/curtain_call_by_barbieq25-d6ujyr8.png Curtain Call - part of the Clivia http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/321/d/d/comfort_brings_by_barbieq25-d6ujyl5.png Comfort Brings - Baleria flower 1 Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. DarkShock
You've outdone yourself barbieq! They all look amazing. barbieq25
Well, Dark Shock, I've been prattling on about PDN being an image editor, so I thought maybe I should just do that. Most of the photos were not great but seemed like a waste to delete them. I know, its only digital but being a baby boomer, waste is waste Laplacian Pyramid Filter is one of my fave plugins & featured quite a bit in these esp. Night Before Christmas. Jitter at high settings is also a fave. I love the bands it creates. Sometimes I just cut them out & put them on their own layer as in Curtain Call. Sharpen also does amazing things as in Comfort Brings. Here are the originals so you can see what has been done: Apparently not good to photograph plants when there is high winds...don't have 2 large dogs playing at your side either Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. HELEN
Woah, barbie. Those are some beautiful wallpapers. I especially like "Midnight Oasis" (the title is so beautiful, too) and the very last one. All very gorgeous in their own way, barbie. "Cactus flower..." ah, so perfect. barbieq25
Chimay, thank you. Happy that you like my work Sasha, I was relly happy with the outcome on that one. Better than I imagined Welshy, I must have been a bower bird in my former life. I love bright & glittery things. Sometimes I look at car colours & think that the designer lacked imagination when it comes to colours. Dark Shock, some of them I was trying to focus in but pressed too hard & got a shot. Feel free to use the photos if you like. I might even set up a resource folder on dA so that if anyone wants they can use them too. Well here are 2 more that I finished today using that same cactus flower. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/322/3/d/i_see_by_barbieq25-d6up9at.png I See - layer cake after applied after the colour layers as below http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/322/7/1/my_blue_destiny_by_barbieq25-d6upa07.png My Blue Destiny - 3 different blues on separate layers just splashed on with the paint brush here & there, then True Blur @ max twice, layer blend modes Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry.
