Rotating Text

Is there any way to rotate text (Set it at a 45 degree angle for example) in paint.NET. So far I can only get it perfectly straight. You can rotate images, but is there a special way to rotate text, or is that not supported?

If you put your text on a new layer, you can rotate it by either:

1.) Going to Layers --> Rotate/Zoom

2.) Right clicking with the Move Tool ( ).

Drag the right mouse button with the move selected pixels tool selected. Holding down the shift key while doing so will force the rotation into multiples of 15°.

Maybe you accidentically had Shift pressed while trying to rotate your selection.
