Nicely done by everyone on the Popcorn Fractal SOW. Well deserved votes to those who got 1st place. Am shocked at my 3rd place since I normally shied away from Popcorn Fractal since I can't seem to get some of the creative effects some create. I am honored!

Hi Nitenurse79 Excellent graphic Image. Would the image be from Draw Plus ?(the Serif Resource disc)

Kindest regards Roger the Dodger🙂

Hi @Roger the Dodger
The resource disc is called Premium Image collection, it was a two disc set that came with Serif Photoplus (unsure what the version number was)

@Manc you did *** the words in your entry but I understand you are trying to follow the rules.  Funny, before I even read it I though of the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, in the 1920's. I find Mafia stuff fascinating although of course, crime is crime.

Your right @Ladybug. Thought it might not be family friendly.

I thought of the massacre myself. 1929.

Reminds me of a great film. 'Some like it hot', Classic.😉

@Manc. Great movie. I am a big Marilyn and old movies in general fan. Though not as old a funny mob movie I like is Tough Guys with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. Back to the topic at hand which is the SOTW. I am very curious to see what will be produced for this topic as like Christmas is a theme that can be expressed in many ways.

@Manc, I like your entry much better now. I, personally, was not offended. I do however like the rules to be followed by all, whether we agree with said rules or not.

The best kind of SotW themes, IMO, are themes that allow members to interpret and express themeselves as they feel.

Entries should be judged on interpretation as well as artistic and technical execution.

(On the other hand, OotF competitions should/are, by nature, be more specific).

You were correct @Manc You would have been asked to remove/change it because of this rule:

24) Do not swear. This includes "ASCII Swearing" where letters are replaced by symbols/numbers in an attempt to get around the auto-censor.

Thanks @Pixey I apologise, thought it was a bit much when I posted.

Gonna have to edit my two images.

Noticed you're the only one to use an apostrophe in Valentine's.

Silly mistake.🙃

It took less than  10 seconds to find this.

Cool cat ... or copycat?

Obviously I copied it.

So what?, That's what the internet is for.

It's called 'Photo Manipulation'.

Do you really think anyone would think I made this image.

Took you ten seconds to find image, I found it in five seconds.

I reckon 'Cool Cat'.

Cheers.😉

A few years ago, I wrote some guidelines for citing your sources.  I'll try to find it later.

EDIT:  I can't find what I was looking for, but it's a good practice to link to your source images.

I've sorted it with the gangster pic

Does that mean I should do it with textures too?

If so, I'm gonna be very busy.🙃

Technically one should not use, because of copyright laws, images from the internet, unless one has permission.  Lots of people have found sites online where you can use images with no problem.

The SOTW rules says this:

"Don't violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous."

Many of us on here use non made-in PDN images and then show the link below the entry, as it's allowable in the Signature of the Week :)

Thanks @Pixey and @toe_head2001

I think all the textures I use are free to use.

I don't use anything with a watermark.

Any images I use in the future I will link.

Cheers.😉
