Paint.NET Web Buttons

Recommended Posts

Howdy!

The two questions I have might be kinda lame, but I just have to get them answered. :)

The thing is that I think Paint.NET is really great and I want to have a Paint.NET web button on my blog, but the two web buttons that are there for people to use are very tiny and just wouldn't look good on my personal bit of cyberspace. So, here's my first question: can I use the Paint.NET logo as a web button and a permanent link to getpaint.net? My second question is: can i transform the white background of the picture or should it be considered a part of the logo itself, thus falling under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 License? I just wanted to round the angles of the white background a bit or perhaps leave it out completely, which would be even better.

Thank you.

Alex.

What you want to do sounds fine to me, go ahead. I wouldn't really even consider that a "derivative work", honestly.

Somewhere there's a link to the high-res PNG-version logo with a transparent background.
