harold
Would an effect plugin be allowed to launch some exe and talk to it in order to get things done? I'm still battling with running effects on the GPU but I have (still!!) been unable to find a proper way to make it "AnyCPU" Quote I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed.. pyrochild
It's been done before with both effects (greycstoration) and filetypes (optipng), so I don't see why not. harold
Cool, I hope it isn't too slow though, it would kinda defeat the purpose if it is.. Quote I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed..
david.atwell
GREYCstoration was notorious for stability issues, but that was really more for the external EXE than the wrapper. Still, be careful. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Simon Brown
I've done this before (Animated Image, ThatOtherApp, etc), although I obviously don't recommend launching it in the OnRender() method.
