cheekyman
jpg my friend! I've tried other formats but it's just the same?? I'm not getting pin sharp text at all?? Well weird! I tried using photo/sharp on them? Makes it better but not much! I make all my images for my website with this prog and after all these years it's letting me down badly! I promote Paint.net to the 1000's of visitor's I receive each week - so I need this to be functioning properly! Can I post and insert links on here?? pyrochild
JPG does not support transparency. Also, it's a lossy format, meaning the pictures saved in it lose some quality in exchange for better compression. PNG would be a better alternative, as it fully supports transparency and is lossless. cheekyman
Hi Guy's Right my man? I've had a computer since the ice age! (Windows 3.0) I am a Moderator of a Webmasters Forum and have 6 websites of my own to maintain. I think I ought to know by now jpg doesn't support transparencies!! And if you look at my opening statement? I have already informed you that other formats do NOT work!! So why say change to PNG?? What I would like to know is? Having VISTA as my OS could this be something to do with the quality I'm churning out with my images?? or the latest updates of the .net framework packages they have just released?? Thanks Cheekyman 8)
david.atwell
How about lose the attitude. When we're trying - voluntarily - to help you, yelling at us is probably a bad idea. Clean it up, or you're gone. Be nice. Oh, and don't try to wave your moderator cred around here. Anybody can moderate a forum. No, none of the things you've mentioned could contribute to your problem. Anything else you've recently changed? Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... Crazy Man Dan
Can I post and insert links on here?? If it would help with the troubleshooting, go for it. As for the problem, I can't say I've seen this at all. If you could link us to the images or place them in a post, that would be great. Also, if you have any of the source PDN files of any of the offending images you could zip up and attach, it may help as well. Further, which version of Paint.NET are you running? Are you noticing the changes in the way 3.36 behaves, or have you recently switched to the 3.5 Alpha from the Preview forum?
