tmoneywon
I have been using paint.net for years. It along with Paintshop pro stopped working. they won't load In CS3 says unknow error won't load and paint.net get error widnow unhandled error. I uninstalled netframe work and paint.net and reinstalled with the latest versions and updates and still getting errors. I even delted everything from the Registry when I uninstalled paint.net. Any help is appreciated as the only half way decent photo editor I can use now is Gimp which I hate. That one runs fine but CS3 and Paint.net (which is my fav and one I prefer cause it's easier to use) those aren't working. I have AMD x64 6400 dual core 8 gig of OCZ memory on board and over 100 gig of available on the C drive Running XP 64 Like I said it has worked fine for years. Here' s the pdncrash This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to crashlog@getpaint.net so we can diagnose and fix the problem. Sarkut
tmoneywon: Since this is affecting two programs it may be more a Windows problem than a PDN problem.

tmoneywon
Ok thought I'd share this in case someone else has this issue. First I checked no virus spyware etc.... I did upgrade Firefox to 3.5 and that was the issue. Some how it changed my font settings in the Registry anyway here's what i found that fixed the issues Firefox was to blame Go to Start -> Run, then type regedit to open the registry editor. Now navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes Now double click on "MS Shell Dlg" and put in the font style you want as the value. Then double click on "MS Shell Dlg 2" and again put in the font style you want as the value. After you are finished, restart your pc. Just a note, make sure you enter a font that is installed on your computer, to see a list of available fonts, go to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts . everything back to normal now thanks for the help, thank goodness i can use paint.net gimp is pretty but totally not user friendly, who ever thought that i wanted to jump through hoops just to crop a picture is crazy, it should be point and click like paint.net thanks again for the best photo editing software ever !!!!
