Transparancy question

I do pixel art sometimes, and that in itself is tedious work at times. Now the sites I go to and stuff have colored backgrounds so when I upload an animated sprite or whatever from MS PAINT I get that white background. I know Paint.Net can give me a transparent background, and I have all the layers sperated and I can fix all that by myself BUT.

Is there an easy way to make a current background transparent without having to use the eraser to get rid or the white background to show the gray checkered background that symbolizes transparency?

uhm the magic wand tool :MagicWandTool: is what you are looking for. You can alter the tolerance of it too helping you select anything frmo 1 pixel at atime to the whole picture :o. Being pixel art the wand tool would be your best bet, simply click where you want to be transparent then click delete :D
