Making a gold texture - possible?

Hey there,

I did a seach but i couldnt find anything on here.

I foudn this tutorial - Brush metal with shine and colourand was wondering how do i go about making it a gold metal looking colour?

Is it even possible with Paint.net to get a good looking gold metalic texture look?

Just simply use color adjustments to get the golden color.

Hue / Saturation

Curves

Color Balance (plug-in)

It should be that simple if you want to have the same texture, but just a golden color. :wink:

A single colored gold would certainly look bland

The key to a gold look is the reflections off it, simulated by using gradients.
