How do you do a shadow on Paint.net?

Recommended Posts

if you're referring to the shadow behind and to the left of the book:

  • Make sure the image you want shadowed is on a layer of it's own
    duplicate that layer
set it to black & white
set brightness & contrast to maximum negative
use octagonal/quad reshape/matte plugin to shape your shadow
gaussian blur the layer to your liking
drop the opacity to your liking
move the layer down, so the shadow layer is behind the object layer
