A little help on blending

Recommended Posts

I haven't found a tutorial that's been particularly helpful yet.

What I'm trying to do is put one image onto another, say, a person onto a beach.

How can i stop the person from looking as if it was pasted on instead of naturally being there?

Here's an example of a photomanipulation i did.

See how the girl looks like she was just slapped on there like a sticker?

Is there a tool or a way to remedy that? I tried blurring the edges with a gaussian blur, but that didn't do to much.

I don't believe there is any tool to help you with that. What you're asking for is quite difficult. You pretty much have to be lucky that the background and the render (the pasted girl) look well together. I think you will need the right amount of lighting and positioning in order for it to look as if it wasn't pasted on.

Thanks

That sucks though =\

Maybe it'll have a tool like that in the future? I hope it will =D

Something like a clone or a warp brush, just to help smooth out the edges or something.

Well...there is a clone stamp.
