Is it possible to export to a .psd file? Or, in other words, is it possible to export to a file that can be read (while maintaining layers) in photoshop?

I'm not completely sure because I don't use the PSD plugin.

Originally, you can't open or save a PSD file using Paint.NET, but you can with this plug-in:

I'm not sure if it will keep the layers. Just download the plugin and see fo yourself.

The PSD file type plug-in does keep layers. At least I know it do; to and from Artweaver. Although I have experienced some problem with transparency. But that may be Artweaver.

Remember that the dll goes in the \FileTypes folder.
