Crimson
 I actually like Vista... I don't see the problems with it... but guess that's just me... Vista's not bad, per se, it just didn't live up to the hype that was going around when it came out. For many people, it works just fine. Toasty
Well im buying a new pc tonight so i think i may opt for a windows 7 if its out then? (i assume it is from the posts you guys have made?) Nope. Everyone here who's running it is either running the Release Candidate (Build 7100), or has "obtained" a copy of the RTM (build 7600, the one that's going to be released to the public). If you buy a computer with Vista before October 22 or whenever it comes out, you get a free upgrade to Windows 7, if I remember correctly. Goonfella
I have to say , I`m quite happy with Vista Basic. It`s perfectly good for what I need. The only reason I will be getting another laptop/pc (havn`t decided) is because I`ve only got integrated graphics which are not much good for 3D work. When I do upgrade I will probably get Win7 then. Toasty
Believe me, when you use Windows 7 (or any other operating system, for that matter) you'll realize how bad vista really is. Among some of the minor annoyances is the fact that it almost always asks you if you really want to open the program you just double-clicked so that you could open it. Honestly, what kind of sense does that make?
nemo
surely theres a setting to turn that off under control panel?
