Ash
Select the area you want to change color (the plane). Use Conditional Hue/Saturation plugin. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]

rtargo20
Here is a real quickie that I did with the Lasso tool and used seven layers of different colors in case I wanted to change a color or blending mode. Then used Paint Bucket to fill inside the Lasso and a light feather and flatten all layers. Quote Is it me --or do buffalo wings taste like chicken? boing71234567
i'm sorry i dont thing i explained it that well. what i do is a have a blank texture like this: and i take this picture: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Algeria- ... 6dfb7d0698 and put it in paint.net like this: then i do my best to replicate it on the model like this: (sorry its a different plane but as you can see this is a boeing 757) and it looks almost like this one in real life http://www.airliners.net/photo/British- ... 240f56399f now i am doing the same thing but for the C130 but its harder for the camoflage cause its not all straight lines and you can copy and paste figures off real life pictures but they tend to have old, and dirty pixels. so i usually do my best to replicate it but when you just use the line tool and then fill it in with the pain bucket it doesn't look real. i hope you guys understand now, but if you don't then let me know. if you do than can you think of other good tools to use? -thank you
yellowman
There is different methods for re-paint, it depends on the image, and kind of details, so in this image the best way as I think is to select, copy and paste,( select a small spots around the area of the section which needs to be repaint, copy the selection and past on top of the unwanted color and repeat that using same selection till you cover all the old color, preferably paste selections on a new layer so would be easy to correct the color to mach the around. I posted an example below : What I did is, as the surface is for an airplane, then the best selections are the rectangles and squares because the airplane body accepts this kind of shapes. Don't worry if you covered some details or words, you can copy them from the original and paste them again( like the circled flag) and re-type new text ( words) using similar fonts, I marked the places that I worked on them, you can see the rectangles on the tail I just left some of them without color correction to see them, good luck. EDIT// oops I just got what you really need when I saw your last post, so neglect my post, I will leave it in case would be helpful for someone else. Ash
Use your blank texture.jpg as a guide and the real image as reference and make everything on your own. RHoward
You're going to have to add in your own panel lines, and national insignia. I have a lot of camoufalge colours saved under my pallete. It's best to try a few methods. I just wanted to try making one of these repaints since I first got CFS2 (My current computer does not have enough memory for it, unfortunatley). Enjoy, please pm me a screenshot of the plane when applied. I'm not completley sure, however, if all the spots will line up right.
