Simon Brown
Download A quick effect I wrote to make it easy to distort images. It basically runs the image through the JPEG codec. Example (Extent: 85):
Goonfella
Any chance of some examples of this effect? Quote Please feel free to visit my Gallery on PDNFans And my Alternatives to PDN

himself22
I noticed when you run the JPEG effect with some transparent areas it's black but normally when you save a JPEG with transparent areas it's white. lol doesn't really matter though. Wow, I can't believe I just posted that. Quote "The truth is just an excuse for having a lack of imagination." Photobucket sucks!

Fisherman's Friend
Eerm... Not meant as any kind of flaming, but isn't this already "built" into Paint.NET? Just save the image with high JPEG compression...

Blooper
It's actually pretty useful for fakes, and it's faster than saving and opening again. Thanks Not that... I make any fakes... ... Kemaru
"Tired of all that awful detail in your creations?" Interesting plugin, might be useful for HTML tutorials and small thumbnails where you need to keep the filesize low. david.atwell
This is probably the funniest plugin I've seen ever. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
oma
David you think so! I can't wait until I try to work this one into some sort of picture, now that will take some doing. to offset the plugin. Remii9512
I officaily hate JPEG. Go PNG! Go BITMAP! Go other file types! Quote Trolololol
Brainee1
I'm going to have to butt in here, and say that JPEG>BMP. PNGs are the best, JPEGs are good when you have a huge image that doesn't need quality, and bitmaps are good when you want your upload site to make JPEGs of your pixel art, which is far too large in filesize to BE pixel art. [/rant] Good plugin, time to try a new kind of shading....
