f
Hi. i was wondering if somebody could explain what exactly is happening at the very last stage of installation, after it's done coping files and says something along the lines of 'optimizing for better performance on your system' thanks. Crazy Man Dan
Edited by Dan hisself to remove incorrectness. No use spreading false info, right? I guess that's what you get when you assume, eh? >_> Quote I am not a mechanism, I am part of the resistance; I am an organism, an animal, a creature, I am a beast. ~ Becoming the Archetype
Rick Brewster
No, that's not what happens, it's not related to that at all. We run NGEN, which basically compiles Paint.NET for your system. This way we avoid the .NET JIT (just-in-time) compiler, which means our startup performance is faster and we use less memory.
