I mean no offense, but would it not appear more natural if you copied a tooth, shaped it (maybe even smudge it a tad), and then pasted the newly shaped tooth and add a touch a blur?

Well, I was on the right track. There is a way to get the right effect and get it natural looking.

Here's the original:

And here it is using the liquified plugin (utilizing the push feature - similar to smudge):
