akylas
Hi all. For some days I am trying to install 2.64 on my laptop, but without success.I am already using the 2.63 without any special problem. It always ends with the following message: A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Staging\PaintDotNet_1477935322.msi Can anybody help me please? Thanks.
Rick Brewster
Moved to Bugs & Troubleshooting There's a sticky at the top of this forum that should help, "Are you having problems Installing or Uninstalling?" akylas
hi Rick, It tries to remove the 2.63 and install the 2.64. It stops, gives the message A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Staging\PaintDotNet_1477935322.msi and when I press OK, the program 2.64 is uninstalled automatically, and I go buck to 2.63 again. Illnab1024
Your staging msi is gone. Just go to "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel, click on Paint.NET when the list populates, and then click remove. Now install PdN. (This is all in that post...) akylas
Thanks Illnab1024, If I understand you correctly, you suggest to uninstall the paintnet 2.63 from my pc, and install the 2.64. Is that so?
Illnab1024
Yes. Manual uninstall. Quote ~~
