I thought about that. I'd like to keep it in there. It makes me smile 'cos it was a good April Fools joke :D

If you really, really want it removed I will do so. It is your only plugin so you'll disappear from the list of authors too :(

Thank you for a REALLY GREAT LOB!

It is extremely useful, especially for those meet Paint.NET at first time, as me.

Could you please include not just additional plugins, but those included with the Paint.NET itself for easier finding their descriptions.

And I couldn’t find ‘Advanced Desaturate’ and ‘Invert Colors’ in the Index – why?

Thanks again!!!

See this list: Effects included with Paint.Net

Invert colours is not a plugin, it's a PDN effect (see above list). There is no need to list it as it is not a downloadable extra.

I will look into Advanced Desaturate though..., Thanks!

[edit] Looks like Advanced Desaturate has not been released with it's own thread - this is why I've missed it. It will be included in the next revision.[/edit]

Hi!

Just a note. In the Index Pyrochild's plugin is spelled as 'pixellate+', while in PDN and on Pyrochild's pages as 'pixelate+' - single 'l'.

As far as I know (after consulting with the Oxford Dictionary :) ) both spellings are grammatically correct, however I couldn't find it in the Index using search due to this.

Thank you

Pixelate Pixellate ! Good catch - thank you.

I have added this to my list of changes for the next release. I'll go with the single "L" spelling as Pyrochild uses.

What a wonderful post, I didn't have to search long to find exactly what I wanted, and also with minimal experience in Paint.Net I managed to utilize all the files & features.

THANKS!! :)

Sorry for being bore,

1.

Same thing with 'Crystalize' (in Paint.NET and Ed Harvey Effects' page) and 'Crystallize' in the Index.

Just want to help you to make Plugin Index precise! I'm not looking for mistakes but reading through the Index compare what I have and what not and how to use what I have :)

(However in this case Oxford Dictionary of English sais 'Crystallize' is the only correct spelling, while Collins English Dictionary allows crystalize, crystallise or crystalise.)

2.

Sine Wave Distort Effect Plugin by MadJik is named as 'SinWaves' in Paint.NET interface. Perhaps it makes sense to add both names to your Index for easier searching.

Thanks...

Sorry for being bore,

I appreciate the updates - seriously!

Same thing with 'Crystalize'

I'll go with the spelling that the Author uses. Will roll out these changes (and a few more) at the end of the month.

Actually the list is long enough as it is :) (and I don't want to have to split it into three!). Often the plugin name is a contraction of the full name, so I'm hoping users will use their common sense when looking for plugins.

Thanks Rick - I should have caught that. Oops

Or "Tom Jackson and BoltBait," given that he maintains it?

I have tried attributing a plugin to dual authors (BoltBait & Illnab from memory). Trouble is it complicates the parsing routine for adding the URL no end!

I've decided to attribute the original author, and will add "Now maintained/updated by:" in the description.

You (and the others who have thanked me) are very welcome :!:

I'm glad this index is proving useful.

Following on from EgoEramReputo's plugin index. I have now completed my Plugin gallery.

Basically it lists every single plugin available for Paint.NET. I have also produced a sample image for each one.

EER's index is perfect for when you need to find something you've seen before. My gallery is more targeted at showing what the available options are.

It should all be up to date but there are several enhancements I have planned for the site.

Big Thanks to EER as his index was a fantastic starting point for me and he also helped with checking my work and designed an initial layout for the site. :D

Don't know what plugin to use? Try looking in the plugin gallery

I have 72 plugins which takes up a place of 2,0 MB total.

1 GB RAM should be fine for running Paint.NET(I think, haven't tried) :)

(PS. RAM = Random Access Memory, working memory. It's NOT the same type of memory as a harddrive. DS.)
