I'm looking forward to the Metroid Prime Trilogy Edition.. 3 awesome games at a low price. Must-have.

I loved Metroid Prime 1. It was amazing and is still my top GameCube game. I was upset at Metroid Prime 2 cause I had high expectations.

Went over to a buddy's house last night for some gaming, and he was in the GamesCom beta for MAG, so I got to try it out.

Freakin'. Awesome.

Of course, it's still a beta, so there were a lot of things that weren't finished - the HumVees had a bright pink placeholder texture over the windows instead of a reflective/transparent window texture, the grenade throwing animation didn't actually remove the grenade from the models hand when it threw, there are a few collision errors with ledges where you can't walk over the curbing of one garage door exit, that sort of thing - but it's already both playable and fun.

The only problem with MAG is what it did to SOCOM. Zipper went off working on this, and SONY handed off the old series to Slant Six for Confrontation, a game that only now, ten months after it's release, is getting the ability to automatically join a friend in a specific lobby instead of having to message them asking which server/match they're in and hunt for it. Just read through this list of fixes, and you'll get an idea of how broken it was.

Mag at this point is already more playable than SOCOM ever was, and I definitely look forward to picking this one up when it comes out. :)

Sorry I know I'm going off Metroid here, but...

Apart from alllll those fixes, is the game any good? I'm not sure whether to get it. It's only a tenner on ebay.

I've just played Metroid Prime 2 and 3, and 3 is the very best part of the trilogy.

MP 2 was very hard at some times, and the backtracking was annoying, but I loved it anyway.

And MP 3 was and still is the best shooter for the Wii you can get.

Buy highly recommended.

I don't have the money for a new console + games, even if I sold my other stuff, so I'm just keeping it.

It's mostly used for Brawl matches ith my friends, a source of endless joy/rage :D

There have been so many flyer leaks showing that the 360 will get a price drop. This ad here shows the Pro unit at Target that comes with an extra controller for $250:
