Cursor and brush won't match up

Recommended Posts

Dear Sirs,

I have a slight problem with Paint.Net. To date it is totally great, and I suggest it to everyone. It does what I need it to, well it did until today. For some strange reason my cursor no longer lines up with the brush, meaning when I use the brush and move the cursor it produces the line 4 inches or so lower, or no line at all. This is very annoying as I have to do very precise work in creating icons & such.

How can I fix this, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail, so I am guessing it is a setting issue but I don't know which one, orhow to adjust it. Please advise.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Christopher Chance,

Greetings, Bronzetiger.

To help you further, could you provide two things for us? Firstly, a screenshot to illustrate the deviant behaviour. Secondly, to tell us what version of Paint.NET you are using.

I believe we have encountered this issue before on both the stable v3.36 and the un-stable v3.5 branch.

Thank you very much.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for such a quick response. Not using my tablet just the mouse. (was contemplating using my tablet though, any precautions to take? Or will it just not work?)

Version is 3.36 here is a cap of the version number.

Here is a video of the problem.

Thanks in advance for your time. Sorry I could not find more in FAQ's am still getting used to this site. If it is something obvious I apologize in advance.
