Rick Brewster
Download Note: You must use the built-in updater in Paint.NET v2.64 in order to install this. To do this, first ensure that the menu item "File -> Updates -> Also check for Betas" is enabled. Second, click on the menu item "File -> Updates -> Check Now ...". It should offer you "v2.70 Beta 1," at which point you should click on the Install button to accept it. Ok, like I mentioned before, here is v2.70. It is a beta, however Please refer to the above instructions in order to get it. Changes: * New effect: Glow * New effect: Bulge * New effect: Polar Inversion * New effect: Tile Reflection * New effect: Twist * Updated system requirements * Fixed nub selection for Line/Curve and Move tools where the cursor would sometimes affect the wrong nub when zoomed in A note on the system requirements. Paint.NET now requires that if you are using Windows XP that you have SP2 installed. For Windows 2000 users, you must now have SP4 installed (previously SP3 was allowed). For Windows Server 2003 users, SP1 is now required. The minimum memory requirements were also raised from 128 MB, to 256 MB. This falls in line with what I have seen as a more realistic system for using Paint.NET. We also now list 64-bit systems as requiring 384 MB RAM instead of 256 MB. I don't know wether it was restarting PdN or deleting DistortionEffects.dll Quote ~~

Rick Brewster
I don't think it will be a problem. Paint.NET doesn't actually enforce anything except the OS requirement. Rick Brewster
Updates are easy and free, there's really no reason to not have the latest version It's perfectly fine to wait for the non-Beta v2.70 though. v3.0 is still many months away. RejZoR
Nice. Very useful effects, especially Glow (i don't have to play with layers anymore) and Tile Reflection which creates pretty nice effects
crosswalker
Very nice, it's nice having all of the effects submenus in near eachother instead of spread out in the menu.
Rick Brewster
Heh yeah I guess I should add to the changelist, "the effects menu is properly sorted now."
