TerenceW
I'm brand new here I don't have Paint yet. I want to edit a photo of a decanter by getting rid of the background so I'm left with just the decanter. Can I do this with Paint ? I've got Vista 64 Home Premium & am fairly new to it, by the way. For day to day editing I've been using iPhoto but it won't mask an object & a friend suggested Paint! Thanks.

Ouchy_S
By mask, you mean cut the background out, leaving you with your subject that was in the foreground? viewtopic.php?f=34&t=28790 Try this. Quote My deviantART | My Gallery

TerenceW
Yes. I'm told cropping is about rectangles (my iPhoto does that as does MS Paint) but masking is about the object without the background ? As paint.net can mask I'll get it! Thanks.
