cannonwill
I am following the directions the best I can and have tried a couple of ways. I have made the background transparent (supposedly) but when it is used it still shows the background as white. See attached example. What am I doing wrong... or not doing right!?? Simon Brown
JPEG doesn't support transparency, only PNG and GIF. Although i'm not sure whether the desktop will turn transparent images to the colour used anyway, so my advice is to simply add a new layer below the logo that is filled with black. Rick Brewster
I doubt the desktop background renderer supports the transparency either. This is not a Paint.NET issue. Ouchy_S
Vista doesnt support PNGs, its very lame Then it's a good thing he isn't using vista. Since you are setting the background colour of your desktop black, why not use the paint bucket and make what would be transparent black too? edmond
i'm not sure if vista itself supports png, but if i download a png picture and then open it using ACDSee Quick View, it works.(i tried it out) Absolutely no problems as long as u have the software.
