nezantra
I am trying to apply a technique/tutorial for background (specifically, hair) removing using photoshop and it involves "channels". I have only been only using pdn for about 5 months and i don't understand if curves is the equivalent to channels and if so, how to use it. Any help or advice is appreciated =) you can view tutorial here:
Benji2
Curves controls The channels of Red Green and Blue, by changing the mode from Luminosity to RGB you can change color values. With Curves+(a plugin) there are so many mroe options. Search "Curves+" in http://www.getpaint.net/search.html and select the plugins box
nezantra
I already have Curves+ but thanks for the advice to get it. So, to clarify, curves is a more advanced way to manipulate channels?
Curmudgeon
you can install Ed Harvey's plugins, and inside should be the Extract Channels plugin you could use
