What I am trying find a way is put a hexagon in middle of photo and cut that hexagon portion of picture along with borders and then save the cut picture as new picture Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pophiri Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Hi Alpha masks would give the best results , but an easy way is to open the picture and hexagon on different layers. On the hexagon layer, select (magic wand) the part you want to delete, then select the picture layer and press delete. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Benji2 Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Add the hexagon to another layer like he said and use the magic wand ( ) and select inside it on the second layer. Click down to the the first layer, do an invert selection ( Cntrl+I), press delete. now delete the second layer. Now select the Checkerboard around it, Invert selection again, copy the hexagon picture (Cntrl+C). Now File :arrow: ->New, keep the dimensions thatr pop up and click ok.(they should be preset to be what you have on the clipboard, or what you copied) Now Paste (Cntrl+V), File :arrow: ->Save as.
