barbieq25
Superb. You really get the feeling that the shock wave is heading this way and about to engulf those two planets. I do think you could cut down on the number of stars in the background just outside the shockwave though. Don`t forget how bright a supernova is , probably drowning out all except the brightest of stars around it so you could easily get away with showing fewer of them in the background. I'd have to agree with that summation. What I also like a lot is the colour. Good on you! Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. April Jones, 2012 Gallery My DA Gallery
yellowman
@ Goonfella, thank you so much, do you think Vignette effect will work to reduce the brightness of the stars? I don't have the PDN file, I will give it a try and see what I get. @ sokagirl, thank you so much @ chrisco97, thanks mate and I appreciate your comment. @ barbieq25, thanks glas you like it. barbieq25
  That is amazing! I looks like a photo. Superb work on the water & the reflection. The rocks/cliff texture is also very realistic & the trees too. The only thing that I don't like is the bit in the middle. It's a bit bright - hard to explain really. It looks a bit stretched? Not that it detracts too much. I see Welshy's comment too. I had to look very hard to find it. This is the most realistic piece of landscape I have seen done in PDN yet. You have outdone yourself! It is truly a pleasure to see as WB said.Bravo! Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. April Jones, 2012 Gallery My DA Gallery
HELEN
Wow! The Supernova is amazing and beautiful! I love it!!!!    California is superb! I....I...am at loss for words. Absolutely stunning! Wow! The textures are mind-boggling!!! sokagirl
Fantastic , is this by the way in northern California ? The trees along the cliff kind of gave it away ? I live in Southern California ^_^ great piece so refreshing ..
Goonfella
@ Goonfella, thank you so much, do you think Vignette effect will work to reduce the brightness of the stars? I don't have the PDN file, I will give it a try and see what I get.I called this California, 100% PDN: The problem with the vignette would be that the outside stars would be dimmer. What you want is the inside ones to be dimmer as they are closer to the supernova shock wave. Shame you don`t have the PDN file anymore. I`ve posted a possible work around on Fans. As for your landscape , thats just brilliant. You`ve done a great job on the water and the rest is not `alf bad as well! Well done. Quote Please feel free to visit my Gallery on PDNFans And my Alternatives to PDN

Possum Roadkill
I love the supernova piece, it's so well done, but WOW California is so absolutely amazing !!! What a great stone texture ! The trees are so outstanding ! Was that a brush you used? I would like to see some trunks and branches in there, but still really amazing. And the water just blows me away. WOW WOW WOW !!! I'm working on a landscape right now and it took me three days to get happy with my water, and now I want to throw it away. That is just the best water ever. Once again, a top notch piece ! yellowman
@ welshblue, to come from the king of texture, it means a lot, thanks so much mate for the compliment, you are right about the joint on the right hand and the diagonal line in water makes the view worst, I think that came from the Alpha Displacement plugin, I forgot to manage the edge behavior, I keeping forgetting that in this plugin . @barbieq25, thank you very much, the middle is a hump think on the wall, it actually generated by itself I didn't add any light/shadow effects in this version, there were horizontal lines came from a combination of Polar Inversion and Polar Transformation plugins after applied them on a cloud layer, then I distorted them with Twist effect, and with some Displacement and Height Field to Normal I got this, I am glad you like it. @ HELEN, Thanks so so much I am glad you like it. @ sokagirl, Southern but not exactly the same, there they don't go direct in the water but there is a sand area between the cliff and the water, and about the greenery, I didn't actually meant to be trees, but some bushes, thank so much for the comment. @ Goonfella, Thanks mate, lol mate if I save all pdn files, I need a lot of TBs. @ Possum Roadkill, Thanks mate I am glad you like them: - The trees as you like to call them, are the top part of the stone texture that created by the Polar Inversion and Polar Transformation, then I duplicated the layer and tinted it to green, Transparent Gradient it then changed the blend mode to Multiply, of course with some relief and displacement, I really can't recall the exact steps, but anyways each time I get a different result even if I followed the same steps. -I had another version with trees and trunks, but I don't like it like this one. -The water was straightforward from the Water Reflection plugin, over a blue background layer, just play with the settings till you satisfied, then Motion blur on Zero angle, these were the steps but not sure about the settings in each plugin, Oh, great I want to see your landscape, that will be a great one for sure. And this is a study of Perspective, Light/Shadow and 3D, all together help to get a good depth. I know what is my problem with vases , I think they are good object to paint: Quote My GalleryMy YouTube Channel "PDN Tutorials"
Goonfella
Nice perspective piece Yellowman. Lovely texture on the wall. The only thing I would say is that the handle on the vase seems at a weird angle . Maybe it`s just me I`m not sure but that's the impression I get. barbieq25
About the tree trunks: they are too uniform. I don't like them much either. I do love the cliff & water texture. I like the vase. Goonie's mention of the weird angle is probably the play of light. Doesn't look too bad. I like the heavy shadow & the tiles on the floor are pretty. Nice work! Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. 0(-.-)0
California is amazing...its...wow... The second California is better in one way. The water is more realistic in the way that the edge moves. its not just a perfectly straight edge. I'm not making much sense but...yeah. The vase is astounding. Watch me cry. Really. *Cries* Quote - Any thoughts? -

I think if the tree trunks were more varied they would look better, but still I think it looks great. The colors in the stone are so beautiful and realistic. I'm just blown away that it is a part of the original texture. I'm still working on mine. It started as a landscape but now has evolved into something more strange, as if that's a big surprise. Love the vase and perspective study. The shadow is perfect. Ron1949
Yellowman, I'm such a newbie to paint.net I'm still trying to make a straight line erase free hand. But I'm bound and determined to make me a sig like the one you seem to use the most; the torn piece of paper. That is so eye catching and to me shows a remarkably creative mind and with a firm grasp of how to get 'er done in paint.net. If you ever decide to show a raw senior citizen aged newbie some of the tricks I will be pleased to accept. Ron (does one need a 'nom de plume' on this site?)
