tobyz95
How to you change the color depth from 256 to 16 million in PDN? Thanks, Mary
david.atwell
It depends on what file type you're using. If it's GIF, the limitations of the filetype mean you literally can't; GIF is limited to only 256 colors, full stop, no matter which program you save it in. In just about all the other filetypes, though, millions of colors is the default. So, which one are you having problems with? Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Rick Brewster
All images are "converted" to 32-bit upon opening them. That's the only pixel format Paint.NET uses. tobyz95
Thanks so much for the input. That explains why I was having trouble. I LOVE PDN, but unfortunately for some of the tasks in object making for the SIMS, it does not work. DARN!!! Thanks again, Mary
Rick Brewster
Doesn't Sims work with DirectDraw Surface (.DDS) files? Paint.NET has built-in support for that.
