SeaWarrior1 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm trying to change everything that is one color (black) to another (birght blue), only problem is that I have no earthly idea how to correctly use the recolor tool (or whatever other tool i'm supposed to use). I'd appreciate some help thx. Quote
HELEN Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I don't really use the recolor tool, though I pretty sure others might. I use either the settings under "Adjustments" or "Color Tint" and similar effects under "Effects" (I believe). pophiri Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Here is an easy way without pugins Select paint bucket. Set flood mode to global. Set the colour you want (say blue) as the primary. Set tolerance to pick up as much grey as you want, then click on some black. Voila. Quote
sethseth97 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Basically all you do is select the recolor tool in the "Tool" sidebar , then set the color you want to change the original to as your primary. Then just paint over the image you would like to recolor Before... After... Quote
pophiri Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Don't forget, original colour (the one you want to replace) must be the secondary colour for 'colour replace' to work properly. If you want to replace all of a colour, global paint is still faster. Quote
PyroTechniques Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 If you really want a nice-looking recolor, you might want to check out the Conditional Hue/Saturation plugin. Depending on what you're trying to recolor, it could give you some nice results. Quote Photobucket Sucks!
Myrddin Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Aside from the sterling advice given above, for future reference, you can consult the Help page for the basics on this tool, plus all the others: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/RecolorTool.html Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
