Another One Of Them Signatures

So I haven't fiddled with any graphics programs in about five years. I got bored last week, and found Paint.NET. I figured I'd hit up a whole bunch of tutorials to figure this program out and get the "creative juices" warmed up and away from the consistency of molasses.

Here is my first piece of work in five years for my UPS employee forum.

Gimme some CC.

And god do I miss phpBB forums. IPB is getting old.

Firstly- Hi there welcome to the forums :D

As for the sig, it`s nice except the border intrudes too much. Maybe you could reduce the opacity or just make it smaller. I always think aircraft coming at you at an angle rather than flying away look better as well.

I noticed you said you were doing tutorials. Before you post any I suggest you have a read of the rules.Just some friendly advice.

Thanks. I did think that I needed to darken the border a little bit. As for the plane, I wanted the logo on the tail, and that was the best picture I could find.

I'm not writing any tutorials. I went to the tut forum and made that sig out of a mix of them, just so I could learn the program.

If you call that a "noob" sig, I can't imagine what your idea of an expert sig would be... :D

Great work! I love how it's simple yet elegant. The background matches the color scheme nicely - great job on the text, as well. Did that come from jake2k's "New and Improved 3D Text Tut", by any chance?

Thanks for all of the comments!

Yes, it did come from that tut. I definitely liked how he did that tut. He didn't explain how to use things exactly, such as the curves menu. I almost got frustrated with it, until I had a "duh" moment. Allowed me to learn other possible uses for it.

Your text came out very nice, I'm happy to see that my tut is still being used :D. And sorry that it is a little difficult to understand it's just that I've always been better at making art then writing things haha
