weavo
I want to use other fonts folders that are not at -c:/windows/fonts and use other fonts I have at G: and E: drives.... How do I get Paint.net to find these other fonts??
Myrddin
To the best of my knowledge, copy and paste them into the c:\ directory. If Paint.NET hasn't found them thus far, it could mean it only looks in c:\, hence bung them all in there. Simon Brown
Why not just install them? :? Also, I see no reason to think that Paint.NET (or .NET on its behalf) would look anywhere other than the Fonts directory. Just my 20 pence.
david.atwell
The system simply won't use them from anywhere else, as I understand it... Simon Brown
I think i've found a way which Paint.NET may or may not support. If I ever write a non-editable text plugin (adding huge numbers of features - especially ones such as this to editable-text plugin given the way it works, complicates things,) I may include such a feature. Myrddin
To be honest, I can't see the point in opening up the opportunity to read fonts from anywhere else other than the default location, or at least the location Paint.NET reads it from. You are then multiplying the possibility of technical confusion from us end-users. You would be, in effect, advertising that one can have fonts anywhere, when for the most part of Paint.NET, this cannot be true. jesmic
Hopefully the newer version would be able to accept Open Type Font(OTF) too.. or is there any plugins or ways to let Paint.net to recognise OTF?
